Hi, y'all! I have a passion for music and love to see others grow in their love for it. That's why teaching piano is so exciting for me.

As a classically trained pianist, I will teach my students classically, focusing on reading music, technique, and theory, while working to develop their love for music and the piano. 

 

How fast they progress through the primer books and the first few of the Faber books depends on age. I am open to teaching students from four years old and up, but the younger they are, the slower they will progress. In accepting students, younger ones especially, I look for good motor skills and motivation.

 

I cannot with good conscience accept a student who is completely opposed to lessons. I will let them try for a few weeks, but if they don't warm up to it, I cannot teach them. Teaching children against their will can ruin their love for music.

 

As a solo pianist, I can also mentor them in composing their own music if they wish.

Lessons will be centered in Laramie, Hanna, and Medicine Bow, Wyoming. If your student is age four to six, I recommend fifteen minute lessons for the first couple months.
